The Village Building, originally a competition entry with the motto “ECOBOX 130x120x110” by a-g-e-s (2007 - 2. prize), is based on a theoretical work by Mathias Harang. It is subject of a PhD in progress by Britt Sørlie: The Village Building - a new typology in architecture as a possible sustainable planning strategy.
Project course, MSc in Sustainable Architecture, NTNU (2011); published in Arkitektur N (2007) and part of an exhibition through the installation LOOK OUT (2007).
DEBATT: Bygdebygningen er like lite en "monster-blokk av betong", slik Kai Jacobsen hevder, som mennesket er en simpel silhuett. Bygdebygningen er et typisk norsk dalføre skrudd til en urban smeltedigel for 5000 innbyggere (ill. a-g-e-s).
